The key to good sound with in-ear are how well they seal and the overall placement when they are in your ear. Some create a suction and even though seal well hurts your ears when in and when you pull them out. Others just don't seal well at all. I love some of the higher end in-ear headphones from Shure and others, but they only are able to wow me with their great sound when I hold them in my ears or not move my head at all.
